MEET KRYS

CREDENTIALS & CERTIFICATIONS

Krystal Weisberg, better known as Krys, is not your average fitness professional. Krys left a successful career in New York City’s nightlife industry to begin a personal and professional journey in fitness—a journey  that was years in the making. Diagnosed with a rare vascular disease at the age of 14, her doctors warned her to stay away from intense physical activity. She entered the nightlife industry right after finishing her degree at Pace University. After six years of channeling all of her energies into her career as a marketing executive, the demands of the industry took a significant toll on her physical and mental health. In need of balance and healing, Krys decided that the only option was to leave the city for a new lifestyle, a new life pace, and a new life focus and she moved to Montclair, NJ. At 26 she walked into a yoga studio, scared and unsure of what to expect having never really worked out before. Little did she know, it would be her first class of thousands.

"Yoga paved the way for everything," says Krys. "It gives you space to think." Practicing yoga was her “ah-ha” moment and she used it to make a space for herself in the wellness community. Utilizing her marketing skills, Krys started consulting with yoga and fitness studios on marketing, promotions, and more. Eventually she fell in love with the industry and became certified to teach yoga. That was the beginning. She was presented with the opportunity to teach and run her own studio and during that time accumulated over 4 fitness certifications and now teaches over 6 styles of classes—2 of which she created herself. Over the last decade, Krys has cemented her position in the fitness community with her inspiring and unapologetic attitude. She is now a prominent figure on the NJ fitness scene and beyond. In addition to private trainings, she also offers free fitness & accountability challenges on Instagram and has, on average, over 500 participants who take the journey with her on a monthly basis.

For Krys, ' FIT ‘ is a mindset and she infuses that philosophy in her programming and training style. It all started with being scared to take her first class, but she walked in anyway. And that’s all you need. The mindset that you can. The reminder of how strong you are. And that no matter what anyone else says or thinks, it’s up to you.
